Contact grills (also known as panini makers or panini presses) are the ideal compact solution for expertly making food to go. Similar to a griddle, these grills are slightly different as they also use an upper plate. The upper plate is usually used to improve the surface area which is being cooked, which leads to faster, more visually appealing results without having to turn the food.
